A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Supervision and Leadership: 

  • Supervise and direct security personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule security staff to ensure adequate coverage of the property.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
  • Motivate and mentor security officers to maintain high morale and performance.

Patrol and Surveillance: 

  • Oversee regular patrols of the property to deter crime and ensure safety.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security breaches.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or security concerns.

Incident Response: 

  • Respond to security incidents, including disturbances, thefts, medical emergencies, and fire alarms.
  • Conduct investigations and document incidents thoroughly.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records.

Security Systems and Equipment: 

  • Ensure proper functioning of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • May be responsible for basic maintenance or troubleshooting of security equipment.

Access Control: 

  • Monitor and control access to the property, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Enforce visitor policies and procedures.

Customer Service: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, employees, and visitors.
  • Address inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Training and Development: 

  • Conduct regular training sessions for security personnel on security procedures, emergency response, and customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date on security best practices and technologies.

Loss Prevention: 

  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
  • Monitor inventory and investigate discrepancies.

Emergency Preparedness: 

  • Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Conduct drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for various emergencies.

What we need from you

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred. 
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is required. 
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions under pressure. 
  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in using security equipment and systems (e.g., CCTV, access control). 
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
