We're looking for passionate, high-spirted individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the very first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East. Day-to-day responsibilities of a Restaurant Manager at a Kimpton hotel:

Reports To: Assistant Director of Food & Beverage

 

Daily Operations & Service Excellence

  • Oversee restaurant setup, ensuring ambiance aligns with Kimpton’s boutique luxury standards.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, VIP guests, and service goals.
  • Monitor floor operations, ensuring smooth service and quick problem resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with IHG and Kimpton brand standards, including sustainability and wellness initiatives.

 

Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver warm, engaging, and personalized service.
  • Train staff on Kimpton’s service philosophy, including storytelling, local flair, and emotional connection.
  • Foster a positive work culture, encouraging creativity and individuality.
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews, and development plans.

 

 Guest Experience & Personalization

  • Interact with guests to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with empathy and efficiency.
  • Recognize and cater to repeat guests and VIPs, noting preferences and special occasions.
  • Collaborate with hotel teams to support in-room dining, events, and private functions.

 

Financial & Inventory Management

  • Monitor daily revenue, labor costs, and profitability.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
  • Approve purchase orders and ensure cost-effective sourcing.
  • Analyze sales trends and adjust menus or promotions accordingly.

 

 Compliance & Brand Standards

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain IHG’s luxury service standards, including sustainability and inclusivity.
  • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions.

 

 Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work with culinary, bar, and events teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Coordinate with marketing for promotions, seasonal menus, and local partnerships.
  • Support hotel-wide initiatives, such as wellness programs or community events.

 

 Innovation & Brand Storytelling

  • Infuse local culture and storytelling into the dining experience.
  • Develop creative concepts for events, pop-ups, or themed nights.
  • Stay updated on food and beverage trends, integrating them into the restaurant’s identity.
