As a Procurement Manager, you will manage and control procurement systems and procedures to continually improve the supply chain process, ensure cost effective contracting of products and services, and promote compliance internally with established standards.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Assessing and managing key suppliers’ quality of service to meet business needs; reviewing contracts for compliance with IHG policies, market price comparison and acuity
- Obtaining competitive quotations and bids
- Participating in negotiation for service contracts
- Identifying and developing reliable sources of supply and keep abreast of the marketplace as to innovation and value
- Ensuring all parties to a negotiation have a clear understanding of each other’s objectives and perspectives to maximise the effectiveness
- Recognizing opportunities and incorporating innovative ideas for improving business efficiency and effectiveness
What we need from you
- Higher diploma in Materials, Procurement Management or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience at managerial role in hotel procurement team; solid work experience in IHG Hotels is an advantage
- Savvy in both food and beverage procurement, non-food purchase and service contract negotiations
- Familiar with Check SCM, with experience of previous new system implementation will be an advantage
- Strong problem solving, reasoning, organizational and training skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese language, speaking and writing
