The Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and brand presence across the entire hotel portfolio.
This dynamic role involves leading the sales and marketing operations at the base hotel while providing strategic oversight and direction for all portfolio hotels, including new hotel openings. The Portfolio Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that sales and marketing strategies are effectively executed, delivering exceptional commercial performance and securing market leadership.
- Lead the sales and marketing operations at the base hotel, ensuring all commercial activities align with the overall business objectives and deliver maximum revenue across all streams.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, adapting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management team to optimise pricing, inventory, and channel distribution strategies, ensuring maximum profitability and market share
- Drive collaboration across the portfolio by sharing best practices, market insights, and innovative approaches that enhance collective performance.
- Coach and develop commercial leaders within the portfolio, building a high-performing team capable of driving sustained success and operational excellence.
- Lead the commercial strategy for new hotel openings, ensuring a robust market entry with well-defined sales and marketing plans that capture early market share.
- Serve as the key commercial liaison with hotel owners, providing regular updates on performance, market conditions and opportunities for growth.
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated senior leadership experience in Sales and Marketing.
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue and market share in the hotel/hospitality industry.
- Prior experience in a multiple property role is highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent is desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and drive commercial success.
- Strong client management, problem solving, negotiation and organisation skills
- Strong knowledge and experience executing marketing strategies in rooms and F&B
- Ability to interact and influence with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capability and experience in managing teams across diverse locations.
