Role Purpose

Influence, manage, execute and optimize a strategic test and learn approach for IHG’s customer-centric Paid Media Marketing, ensuring flawless delivery while driving channel efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all aspects of IHG’s performance marketing program, including paid search, metasearch, sponsored placements, OTA biasing, affiliate marketing and media  
  • Deliver the strategic vision and implementation of a customer-centric performance marketing program in support of business and stakeholder priorities, leveraging industry-leading recommendations and solutions.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, customer-centric performance marketing media plan – including audience strategy, promotional marketing campaigns, etc – that drives engagement, conversion and loyalty contribution.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships – performance marketing team members, creative services, analytics teams, campaign teams, stakeholders, senior leadership, and vendor partners.
  • Monitor performance and interpret results to offer analytical insights and recommendations for driving effective engagement, conversion, and channel value.
  • Analyze data associated with campaign performance in multiple different platforms (i.e. Adobe, Koddi, Tableu, etc). 
  • Build a narrative for performance of marketing tactics, at times down to the tactic and/or placement level, by building visuals/graphs/charts using raw data from several different sources to share performance with senior leadership team
  • Accountable for all budget pacing and spend allocations to make recommendations on changes needed to drive performance
  • Influence and implement a data-driven test and learn approach for optimizing delivery and portfolio performance
  • Stay current on performance marketing industry trends, concepts and standards to enable the business to evolve in today’s rapidly changing environment – including global data privacy policies.
  • Recommend and implement strategic initiatives that deliver relevant, personalized experiences and drive marketing effectiveness.
  • Audit evergreen and recurring initiatives to recommend fresh, optimized approaches for future executions.
  • Develop and socialize policies and procedures for optimizing email operational effectiveness.
  • Elevate and promote new ways of working that leverage marketing automation where possible for efficiency.
  • Support a service-oriented team culture and mindset, balancing strategic thought leadership with delivery and execution for our global brands while earning trust and credibility along the way.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital, Advertising, Business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience

Experience

  • 5+ years’ progressive work-related experience with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position Minimum 3 years digital marketing experience 
  • Robust experience analyzing data in excel and automated dashboards to make decisions related to content optimization (ad copy, keywords, hotel pricing, etc) and budget allocation within various tactics 
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position
  • Demonstrated experience in analytics and performance management, budget management, relationship building, strategic thinking and planning of marketing tactics fit for purpose, audience strategy

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience analyzing data through excel using raw data to build graphs, pivot tables and visuals to convey a performance story to senior leadership
  • CRM tools and systems
  • Experience interpreting marketing program results, identifying cause/effect trends in executions and adapting best practices into future campaigns
  • Ability to develop and present data-driven recommendations successfully, promote items persuasively, and shape the opinions of others
  • Experience engaging and influencing cross-functional working partnerships in a global organization
  • Experience of working within a complex business with a range of stakeholders with different needs
  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented team culture and mindset, that delivers consistent, high quality work for IHG’s complex stakeholder group
  • Creative problem solver that can frame issues effectively for leadership
  • Ability to prioritize work based on alignment to broader IHG commercial objectives
  • Strong project management skills to juggle multiple projects often having tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The salary range for this role is $58,834 to $104,711. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. 

**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
