We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to complete routine and preventative maintenance around the hotel, ensuring total guest satisfaction by handling tasks such as painting, minor repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and pool maintenance, while adhering to WH&S regulations and prioritising guest and management requests.
This role is required to work Monday to Friday 10:30am until to 7:00pm.


Your day-to-day:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and maintenance issues that impact the guest experience.
  • Conduct regular preventative inspections of equipment and facilities, 
  • Complete and manage requests via the HUBos system to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Report workplace hazards and adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Handle guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving for guest satisfaction and notifying management of serious complaints and the actions taken to resolve them.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and stay updated on hotel operations and initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.

What we need from you:

  • Must be Available - Monday to Friday 10:30am until to 7:00pm.
  • 2 years experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality industry or building services
  • This is a physical role and you may be required to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling.
  • Communication skills - A great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to during guest interactions
  • Your problem solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guests leaves with great memories 
  • Literate - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths
  • Technical Savvy – This role requires usage of email, computers, handheld devices, key cutting systems, and service request apps.
