A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the In-Room Dining (IRD) operations to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate the IRD team to deliver personalized, five-star service in line with the hotel’s luxury standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all food and beverage orders to guestrooms and suites.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign duties, and monitor staff performance during shifts.
- Maintain effective communication with kitchen, stewarding, and other departments for smooth coordination.
- Oversee setup, presentation, and clearance of room service trays and trolleys to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special preferences promptly and professionally.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies, hygiene standards, and safety regulations (HACCP).
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and assist with ordering supplies.
- Support training and development of IRD team members to enhance service excellence.
- Monitor financial performance, control operating costs, and contribute to departmental targets.
What we need from you
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a luxury hotel F&B environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (preferably In-Room Dining).
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards in a 5-star setting.
- Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance, and polished demeanour.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in English required, additional languages an advantage.
