We’re looking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor who will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Supervisor will manage the housekeeping staff, coordinate with other departments, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and public area cleaners.
  • Schedule staff shifts and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient operation.
  • Conduct training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
  • Order and replenish supplies as needed, maintaining cost control measures.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to meet guest needs.
  • Ensure guest rooms are prepared and available for check-in according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, inventory, and staff performance.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and submit them to management.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost management for the housekeeping department.
  • Identify opportunities for improving housekeeping processes and procedures.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new cleaning technologies.

 

What We need from you:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
