The Role

Through hotel consulting, you will be managing all areas of hotel performance support for hotels in assigned region, including support on how to maximise revenue generation from the system, as well as ensuring that brand values are fully reflected in the hotel’s operations. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Franchisee Relations – Manage strong relationships with GMs, Principle Correspondents and owners within the franchise estate. Act as the main contact person for franchisees, Identifying and resolving or escalating issues. Support lead HPS Director to organise in-market franchise communications and national IAHI meetings.

 

  • Revenue & System Performance – Ensure the delivery of EMEA’s Franchise financial (RevPAR, RGI, MPI) targets through pre and post-opening performance (HPS) consulting to the Franchisee estate to improve IHG System performance, channel optimisation and unit-level revenue and sales practices.   

 

  • Great Hotels Guest Love – Improve OSAT/GSTS performance through performance (HPS) consulting to the Franchisee estate to drive improved product and service offerings. Advise hotels on improvements that will drive better QE performance and consistency with IHG Brand and FLS standards. Conduct Franchise hotel openings to ensure compliance with IHG’s commitment to Great Hotels Guests Love.

 

  • IHG Representation – Represent interests of the franchise community within IHG. Contribute franchisee and operational perspective to selected internal initiatives. Advise training team on the needs of franchise hotels. Advise Development Approval Committee on suitability of franchisees seeking approval for new hotels.

 

What we need from you

  • For this role, you must be able to communicate fluently in German including cultural awareness for effective communications in-market.
  • 6-10 years’ experience in hotel operations (preferably with multi-unit hotel management experience) 
  • Demonstrated mastery of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position, including hotel operations, revenue management and hotel industry sales and training experience including knowledge of training principles.   
  • Experience of working in branded service delivery.
  • Self-starter with high drive for results, strong problem solving, and time management skills required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Strong communications, presentation, negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Familiarity with IHG-specific revenue tools and software preferable (e.g., HIRO, HOLIDEX and IHG-supported PMS, including Brilliant and Opera) 
  • Must be able to travel throughout Germany on a regular basis.
