The Role
The Head of Commercial Marketing is a strategic and visionary leader responsible for shaping and executing the commercial marketing agenda across the AMER business unit. This role is pivotal in driving business performance by developing and leading data-informed, insight-driven marketing strategies that directly impact revenue and brand growth.
As a senior business partner, this leader will craft and implement annual marketing plans that align with AMER commercial objectives, leveraging deep market analysis, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence. This role demands a strong strategic mindset to translate complex data into actionable go-to-market strategies, while also ensuring seamless execution across digital, segment, and regional campaigns.
This position leads a high-performing team, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and represents the Americas marketing function in global forums—ensuring alignment with broader brand and commercial goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a collaborative influencer, and a results-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Your Day-to-Day
Drive Insight-Led Decisions: Leverage consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and commercial trends to inform data-driven strategies and tactical execution that deliver in-year business results.
Champion Digital Innovation: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to optimize brand performance, enhance customer engagement, and accelerate revenue growth across the region.
Segment-Focused Campaigns: Design and execute targeted marketing initiatives for key customer segments (e.g., Youth Sports), maximizing relevance, reach, and return.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Development, and Global Marketing Shared Services to align on go-to-market strategies and accelerate delivery of commercial initiatives.
Strategic Talent Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team by cultivating a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous development, while optimizing team structure and capabilities.
Performance & Advocacy: Represent AMER marketing in global forums and commercial meetings, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, effective budget management, and advocacy for regional marketing priorities.
What we need from you
Education - bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
10 + years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position including commercial & brand marketing, loyalty programs, CRM, training and reporting / analytics. Travel and/or Hotel Industry experience preferred.
Ability to build strong working relationships and gain confidence and respect of key leaders
Requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
Flexible approach to change, with a positive attitude to fluctuating workload
Location –Atlanta, GA. Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $200,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
