Our reputation is built on delivering exceptional guest experiences. Is it safe in your hands?  We’re searching for a Guest Relations Representative capable of delivering a truly personal service to leave our guests satisfied every single time they stay with us.
 
 
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be

Serving as the main point of contact for VIP Guests and ensuring hotel departments are fully briefed on their requirements

Seeking verbal feedback from customers on a regular basis and responding to all guest queries in a timely and efficient manner

Keeping close contact with guests for feedback, complaints and compliments – and following it up

Managing, recording and resolving guest or customer complaints promptly

Keeping other operating departments in the loop with important guest relations matters – from F&B and Maintenance to Housekeeping and Front Office.

 
 
What we need from you

Experience - Ideally, you’ll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position.  You’ll also have a high school diploma or equivalent.  A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential.  

Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to. 

Attention-to-detail - you'll be thorough, accurate, and consistent when completing all tasks.

Math - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning - ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Tech Savvy -  to perform this job successfully, an individual will have knowledge of and point of sales systems and reservations software/systems.

Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job. 

Strength - sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling.

 
What you can expect from us

The hourly pay range for this role is $31.00 to $33.09. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at InterContinental San Francisco. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
