Crowne Plaza Queenstown is a well-established full-service hotel in a prime lakefront location, offering 139 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, and versatile meeting spaces. With close proximity to Queenstown's dining, activities, and ski areas, the hotel attracts a strong mix of leisure and group business.

We’re seeking a commercially minded, hands-on General Manager to lead the hotel into its next chapter—focusing on operational delivery, financial performance, and consistently positive guest experiences.

A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day

  • Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to brand standards.

  • Maintain an active presence across the hotel, engaging with guests and supporting your team.

  • Lead and mentor the team, fostering an engaged, collaborative, and performance-focused culture.

  • Drive commercial outcomes through effective decision-making, cost management, and revenue optimisation.

  • Lead key initiatives that enhance hotel performance and guest experience. 

  • Build positive, professional relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

  • Represent the hotel confidently within the Queenstown market to strengthen its reputation.

What We Need From You

  • Proven operational leadership experience within hotels or hospitality environments, with a solid understanding of day-to-day hotel operations.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results.

  • Experience with hotel refurbishments or significant operational projects would be beneficial.

  • A people-focused leadership style with the ability to build engagement and strengthen team culture.

  • Creative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to elevate guest experiences.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing operational teams of a similar scale.

  • Familiarity with the Queenstown market is an advantage.

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
