Your day to day

We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar. So we’re searching for a Sales Director with a track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us fill our rooms, meeting suites and banquet halls.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Managing daily sales activities and coaching your team to deliver to their full potential
● Hitting all personal and team sales goals to help us maximize profitability
● Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales 
● Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance
● Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside contacts


What we need from you

§  Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field. 

§  Must have good command of English lanquage, both verbal and written.

§  Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct   supervisory experience over a sales team.

§  Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.

§You will be required to move throughout hotel property to conduct site inspections presenting guest rooms and meeting spaces. 

§ Have comfort in presenting and discussing Food & Beverage menus and catering details.

§Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.

§  Prepare and negotiate contracts with clients, obtain signatures, communicate in a clear and concise manner by email.

§  Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented within a timely manner.

§  Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO) prior to the events; ensuring accurate communication of event details to the operational departments is relayed in order to achieve guest satisfaction.

§  Host weekly Sales & Service meetings, present BEO’s to the operations team.

§Develop and conduct persuasive verbal and written sales presentations to prospective clients.

§  Know and understand room set ups for functions and time required for set up. Be familiar with our catering menus, pricing and the ability to upsell and increase catering revenues.Be familiar with specialty foods available.

§  Represent hotel at trade shows and community events.  Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.

§  Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

§  Participate in training for brand and keeping skills up to date as directed by GM.

 

§Perform any other job related duties as assigned. 

    Work Permit to work in Canada.
