Being a Gym Instructor at one of the largest and most prestigious hotel chain in the world means that to maintain a high standard of service is imperative by keeping up the image of the hotel and providing a star class service even in the gymnasium. An ICH gym instructor must also assist in the promotion of the facility as having a winning edge over other competitors. Teamwork as in any other job at the IHG plays a major role in our Hotel and as a Gym Instructor one must work cordially alongside a professional team staff and report directly to the Recreation Centre Supervisor.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Ensure Guest satisfaction by being attentive, courteous and responsive.
- Instruct clients about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening and relaxation
- Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
- Being attentive to Guests.
- Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests.
- Anticipate Guests’ needs.
- Maintain a high level of on-the-job knowledge which affects the Guest experience.
- Maintaining a service oriented attitude at all times.
- Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
- Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information.
What We need from you:
● Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
● Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
● Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
● Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computer skills
