Your day to day
Development Marketing: Leading a team responsible for all Development Marketing initiatives across the region
- Develop and update development collaterals, website, wechat, presentation template and B2B marketing materials
- Develop tools and materials to support the development process from deal sourcing to close
- Conceptualizing and leading on cross functional teams in order to build world class, competitive standard pitch materials, brochures and RFPs
- Leading cross functional teams of internal and external stakeholders on all development led owner events, conferences; managing GC budgets and ensuring all tactical resources are in place to ensure the success of critical regional events
Development Planning and Performance: Leading Development Analyst responsible for all aspects of planning, tracking and reporting
- Implement GOLS (Global Owner Lifecycle System) tracking and reporting system. Ownership for all status and tracking of deal progress and signings. Provide timely update and accurate growth information. Key input and support to financial planning activities driven by the FP&A team
- Analysis and provision of critical content for all Development or GCLT meetings to communicate to all workstreams and initiatives across the GC region
- Measuring and reporting of key “internal” metrics and means of measurement and tracking to drive performance and accountability; Performance against regional and global competitor set
- Establish performance and development goals for all Development LT members and oversee plans, activities and work performance of team members
- Attract project leaders and manage leads referral program
B2B Strategy and Owner Engagement: Ensure we are seen as Outstanding to do Business with the aim to capture greater share of owners’ deals
- By using outputs of account plans & liaising with Development team, sponsor/organise & attend those events most likely to help identify IHG as preferred partner
- Plan and execute initiatives to unlock further growth by review of IHG & competitors’ owner list
- Monitor & facilitate cross border flow whether within GC or other regions by ensuring smooth linkages between parties
Strategy and Special Projects: Lead/manage and complete key projects that supports business strategy and help Development achieve desired outcomes
- Some of the key projects include benchmark competition in terms of signings; prepare analysis and lead the creation of Market-based Strategy projects
- Organize internal Development conference and preparation of supporting documents
Key Development Owner for all Brand teams: Be the key brand liaison and ensure flow of information is appropriately relayed between the Development & Marketing teams
- Smooth dissemination of information from Brands teams to ensure Development has necessary knowledge to sell brands
What we need from you
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience
- Over 5 years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines / processes related to the position and at least 2 years coordinating and managing large projects.
TechnicalSkills and Knowledge
- Strategic thinking with long term and big picture perspective, process and result driven.
- Demonstrated Project, and Programme management skills and knowledge. Experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a process design capability
- Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint, Office, Excel and Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining project information and status to properties, vendors, senior management and staff; active listening, interviewing, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in customer settings and with senior management, including presentation skills and with a high degree of impact and influence
- Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight, with all levels of management (internal and external).
- Team player who works well with a diverse group of people to accomplish complex tasks; collaborates well with others. Able to multi-task and be willing and able to “wear many hats.”
- Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline-driven environment.
