Coxswain - InterContinental Hayman Island Resort

You’ll play a key role in bring to life the water sports activities on the island, and on any given day you will find yourself doing the below;

• Operating boats, speed craft and other vessels and related activities
• Completing vessel checks and maintaining records
• Running water sports activities
• Liaising with guests including selling and promoting activities and handling concerns
• Working alongside Resort partners on fishing, dive, snorkelling and tour charters

What we need from you

Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of previous experience in a coxswain role or be an experienced deckhand who has recently acquired their coxswain ticket and wants to grow their career. Holding your current first aid, CPR and O2 provider, you will also have knowledge of snorkelling, reefs and outboards with experience in game and reef fishing. Knowledge of the Whitsundays and local surrounds as well as exposure to a Resort environment is desirable but not essential.
